After pivoting their annual fall conference to an online setting in 2020, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) is bringing its Annual Summer Dermatology Conference back in 2021. The conference, taking place July 22 to 25, 2021 in Chicago, IL, will be the SDPA’s first hybrid event and led by medical director Peter Lio, MD, FAAD.

Fresh Sessions
During the 4-day conference, attendees will convene to receive continuing education, partake in professional networking, and enjoy special events. Education is critical to providing sound dermatologic care, and the SDPA’s newest conference provides 24.5 Category 1 CME credits. These hyperfocused presentations offer 9.0 Category 1 CME credits and feature topics such as hyperhidrosis; skin cancers other than squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and melanoma; cosmeceuticals; billing and coding; lasers; and bullous diseases, among others.

Networking and Industry Updates
The event is shaping up to be an exciting return to in-person networking and education for dermatology PAs. In addition to the available sessions, attendees will have access to product theaters from industry leaders, including AbbVie; Almirall, LLC; Amgen Inc; Castle Biosciences; Incyte Corporation; and Eli Lilly and Company. Attendees in Chicago will also be able to interact with exhibitors during dedicated Exhibit Hall times each afternoon. Those attending remotely will be able to access a virtual exhibit hall all day during the conference.

In addition to connecting with industry representatives, attendees will have dedicated time to catch up with old friends and meet new peers during daily morning and afternoon coffee and networking breaks, as well as at an arrival reception on July 21, the welcome event on July 22, and the farewell reception on July 24.

Registration Choices
Attendees will have the choice between participating in-person or virtually through a livestream. Signing up for the conference also gives attendees the ability to access all sessions on-demand immediately after the conference conclusion. On-demand sessions will be available for a full 60 days after the event.
