Jessica Garlewicz: Welcome to our listeners. I'm Jessica Garlewicz, digital managing editor for The Dermatologist and here with me today is Dr Steven Feldman, senior advisor for Derm Week. He’s joined me today to discuss Derm Week and what attendees can expect by joining the meeting. So, thank you for meeting with me, Dr Feldman.
Dr Feldman: It's my pleasure.Â
Jessica Garlewicz: So, we'll start with the first question: what is Derm Week or what are your sessions during Derm Week and what do you hope the physicians can take away from the meetings?
Dr Feldman: Derm Week is an educational program that you can access easily from home and we've tried to put together a program of practical issues cutting -edge information that you can use in your work when the next time you're back in clinic.
Jessica Garlewicz: Perfect, and now the next question for you is what topics and updates in skin care can attendees expect to be presented at Derm Week?
Dr Feldman: We're planning to present updates on the happening things in dermatology and I think what makes our program special is we've involved the young leaders of dermatology who are on the cutting edge to help, not just present those materials to find the topics that are of acute interest to people, but also to have interactive discussions that I think prove particularly informative.
Jessica Garlewicz: Perfect. Now, how can the presentations at Derm Week prove beneficial to physicians and their practice?
Dr Feldman: We are so lucky to be alive today at a time when there's extraordinary change, not just in dermatology, but in all kinds of technologies. Dermatology is bringing us all kinds of new treatments and options for our patients, and those are the kinds of things that we will present at Derm Week so you can be up to date on how to best manage patients.
Jessica Garlewicz: Fantastic, and now, our final question for you is, what else would you like to share with your colleagues regarding the Spring 2024 Derm Week meeting?
Dr Feldman: Yeah, one of the things I love about Derm Week is the opportunity for the interactive discussions with our faculty. When I'm participating in the programs, I get to have that one -on -one, but in Derm Week, you do too, because you can submit your questions and comments and have that kind of interaction with the leaders in different areas of our specialty.
Jessica Garlewicz: Perfect. Well, awesome, thank you for joining us. And, you know, we look forward to attending Derm Week with you.
Dr Feldman: Yeah, my pleasure. Looking forward to it as well.
