Sneak Peek: Revolutionizing Atopic Dermatitis 2021

Back for its third year, the Revolutionizing Atopic Dermatitis (RAD) conference will bring together health care professionals in dermatology, allergy, immunology, sleep medicine, and primary care to discuss advances in atopic dermatitis (AD). RAD takes place Saturday, December 11, to Monday, December 13, 2021, in a virtual format.

As a reader of The Dermatologist, you are eligible for discounted registration using the RAD21THEDERM code at registration.

RAD is led by conference chair Jonathan Silverberg, MD, PhD, MPH, internationally renowned expert in dermatitis. He leads a faculty of 25 thought leaders in AD diagnosis and management. The faculty will lecture in 9 mini-symposium and several industry-sponsored sessions, offering a total of 19.5 CME and CNE credits over the course of 3 days.

While the conference covers many important AD topics in depth, highlights include:

  • Assessment and Management of Atopic Dermatitis in the Geriatric Population, featuring Katrina E. Abuabara, MD, MSCE; Eric L. Simpson, MC, MCR; and Aaron Drucker, MD, ScM, FRCPC
  • Diet and AD, featuring Anne Marie Singh, MD; Aaron Drucker, MD, ScM, FRCPC; Philip Greenland, MD; and Jacob P. Thyssen, Professor, MD, PhD, DmSci
  • Sleep, Broken Clocks, and Eczema, featuring Phyllis Zee, MD, PhD; Stephen H. Sheldon, DO; Sabra M. Abbott, MD, PhD; Anna B. Fishbein, MD; Gil Yosipovitch, MD; and Genery Booster, MD
  • Atopic Dermatitis Treatment Update, featuring Amy S. Paller, MS, MD; Stephen Weidinger, Professor, MD, MaHM; and Eric L. Simpson, MD, MCR

This year’s meeting features an hour-long session of challenging AD cases. Select cases, submitted by attendees and lecturers, will be discussed among a panel of dermatologists, pediatric dermatologists, allergists, and others, offering an in-depth look into how individualized AD can be and treatment pearls for handling these cases.

Following late-breaking research presentations on December 13, RAD will present a dermatology provider with the Totally RAD Award. This award honors a nominee who has impacted patient care or research of AD, and the recipient will receive a prize, complimentary registration to RAD 2021 and RAD 2022, and recognition among their peers.
