Varcoe: New Meta-Analysis Shows No Difference in Mortality with Paclitaxel Coated vs Uncoated Devices in Patients with CLI

Ramon L. Varcoe, MBBS, MS, FRACS, PhD, discusses his group's publication of a meta-analysis reporting the risk of all-cause mortality after treatment with paclitaxel-coated devices vs uncoated controls in patients with chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI).

The conclusions of this new meta-analysis differ from those of the controversial Katsanos et al meta-analysis published in January 2020.
