In this interview, Frank Arko, MD, Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute, Atrium Health discusses his use of IVL to maintain transfemoral EVAR/TEVAR access in patients with calcified vessels. Dr. Arko reviews the Shockwave PAD III RCT data including recently published 1- and 2-year results, as well as the results of the Shockwave PAD OS iliac cohort. Dr. Arko then shares a case example of how IVL allowed him to use transfemoral access in a patient with calcified iliac and CFA disease.
