Patient Presentation: A 62-year-old male presented to the outpatient wound clinic complaining of a 3-month history of a draining wound of the left foot. The patient was unsure of the timing or cause of the wound onset but had found blood on his sock. Upon physical exam, you note a plantar ulcer measuring 1.4 x 1.2 x 0.2cm.
