It's Not What You Think

In this video, Monique Abner, MD, CWSP, and Erik Rupard, MD, discuss a unique case they encountered in the first episode of the video series called, "It's Not What You Think," hosted by Monique Abner, MD, CWSP. The case presented with a 61-year-old Caucasian male with diabetes, who had complaints of chronic, non-healing traumatic wounds to his bilateral lower leg. The patient works as a farmer and reported sustaining injury to his legs, where he tried to care of the abrasions himself, using a topical antimicrobial ointment. After failure to heal the wounds, the man sought treatment from his PCP, who referred him to a wound care center. What do think the diagnosis is? What do you think of the diagnosis after they found out it wasn't what they originally thought?
