Dr. Hsu: So, I've used some--not all--of the products on the market. But I've used a variety of different products in this category, ranging from wound scaffolding products to dermal matrix products and placental membrane products. Those are the main products that I have used.
I have found them very beneficial in certain cases for wounds that are failing other therapies and have remained difficult to heal despite what you might call standard wound therapies.
My experience has been positive using nearly all of these products, in that we have seen a higher rate of complete wound healing and a faster rate of healing in many of these cases where the wound has otherwise stopped healing or stalled. So, my experience has been positive.
Although, I can't really say that one product is really any superior to another product. As a class, I can say that they've been very beneficial, very useful in my practice.
