Origins opens HeadWaters executive program
A new residential treatment center under the Origins Behavioral HealthCare banner has opened in South Florida. HeadWaters at Origins is home to a new executive program that is designed to treat high net worth individuals and licensed professionals.
According to CEO Drew Rothermel, the executive program began as a pilot four months ago at the Hanley Center campus, and beds filled quickly during the soft launch phase. Origins is now marketing the final program to its referral sources with the opening of the HeadWaters facility. Capacity includes a combined total of 14 beds at the two sites.
“There is an unmet need [for executive-focused treatment], and for us, there was an unmet need among people who were already calling us,” Rothermel tells Behavioral Healthcare. “It’s another product offering inside our baby boomer and older adult continuum of care.”
Licensed professionals for whom addiction is detrimental to their livelihood, such as physicians, lawyers, pilots, therapists and dentists, are also admitted to the program.
Rothermel says Origins anticipates HeadWaters will draw potential clients nationwide. HeadWaters was announced at the Moments of Change event this week.
The South Florida location includes executive amenities such as high-end meals and spiritually based treatment designed to meet the needs of the target group. Additionally, the staff is trained to establish trust with the population and address any boundary issues during treatment, as professional executives often tend to be insulated from addiction’s consequences.
Madeleine Narvilas, Esq., LCSW, has been appointed executive director of HeadWaters.
