NAATP launches new Spanish website

The National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) launched a Spanish-language version of its website this week. 

Executive Director Marvin Ventrell says the decision to create the new site was a no-brainer in today’s business environment considering that Spanish is spoken in approximately 31 countries by 427 million people.

“Substance use disorder doesn’t discriminate based on language,” Ventrell tells Behavioral Healthcare. “With about 37 million Spanish speakers in the U.S., it is by far the most spoken language after English. NAATP’s international membership is also growing, especially with our Mexican neighbor. The National Association is dedicated to reaching as many providers as we can with our message that recovery is both possible and likely with proper addiction services.”

The English and Spanish versions can be accessed alternately with corresponding tabs at the top of the site.
