IRCP Seeks Community Paramedicine Presentations
In an effort to increase awareness of and provide continuing education to community paramedics, the International Roundtable on Community Paramedicine (IRCP) is trialing partnerships with the U.K. College of Paramedics and the Paramedic Association of Canada in 2017. The trial involves injecting a stream of clinical and continuing education community paramedicine topics into already successful paramedic clinical conferences. If successful in 2017, the practice will continue into the future.
The IRCP invites individuals interested in presenting clinical and continuing education sessions at the U.K. College of Paramedics 2017 national conference to respond to this call for presentation proposals. Sessions about general topics and the administration of community paramedicine programs should not be proposed for this conference; those should be reserved for the next IRCP meeting.
Abstracts for IRCP sessions will be submitted directly to the U.K. College of Paramedics but will be judged and adjudicated by IRCP. To submit an abstract, follow the instructions on the web link below.
The UK College of Paramedics national conference will be held May 9–10, 2017, in Solihull, West Midlands, U.K. The conference expects attendees from across Europe as well as from several international countries.
Additional information for these conferences is available at these websites:

Sessions are 20–60 minutes including Q&A. The IRCP is accepting single speaker presentations as well as panel discussions. Sessions are classroom style. Applicants may have more than one submission for any type of session.
Participation as a presenter is strictly on a voluntary basis. IRCP is unable to directly support travel expenses to its speakers. All speakers will be featured in the conference program and receive complimentary registration for the conference day they are speaking.
Clinical and continuing education topics may include case studies as well as assessment and intervention topics.
Proposals will be submitted electronically to the U.K. College of Paramedics. Submission documents and instructions are on the conference abstract proposal web page linked above.
Submissions must be received by January 27, 2017, and proposers will be notified by February 15, 2017.
