Revamped Education

iSimulate describes its REALITi360 as a “smart integrated modular simulation ecosystem for more reality in training.” Lt. Rob Worley of the Arlington County (Va.) Fire Department puts it more bluntly: “For me,” he says, “it’s been a welcome addition and completely revamped our training process, especially for new medics.”

Based from a pair of tablet computers, REALITi begins as a patient monitor simulator that can mimic devices learners will use in the field. Additional modules turn it into a complete one-stop simulation system with live video streaming, CPR feedback, multiple monitors and screens, and the creation of simulated patient records.

Worley discovered the system while delivering training at another department and was thrilled with the control it could give educators over students’ experiences.

“We’re trying to make simulations as realistic as possible,” he says. “So looking at the REALITi 360, I was like, ‘Dang, that looks neat—I can adapt it, I can control the scenario. I can give them 12-leads to interpret, I can adjust the vitals, I can adjust the pulse oximetry, all in real time, and they have to react accordingly.

“We can take it from firehouse to firehouse and really work with our medics—they love it,” Worley adds.

Portable Mobile and Communications Center for Emergencies

Emergency rescue efforts often encounter power and network outages. The need to secure areas with cameras or the ability to use sensors and alarms to warn of temperature, chemical, and moisture levels can be critical in saving lives.

Predision Mobile Stations (PMS) enables the user to access an industrial-grade, touch-screen computer, camera, light, LED(s), or any other devices to be powered on, wirelessly or with 4G to the cloud when no electricity is available.

The PrediRockBoy (PMS Base Box) supports solar, lithium battery, or city power inputs to suit various indoor and outdoor applications. The case is made of PP resin, including metal materials to support heavy construction applications. Predision's first-to-market industrial mobile stations equip people with a small-size mobile station to function with an industrial computer, camera(s), lights, and technologies when the location is out of reach of commercial power. The system is equipped with industrial IoT systems technology, where remote IP67 sensors at the user’s request can be managed and uploaded through 4G/5G connections to a cloud-based platform. Customized sensors or devices can be added upon request.

Features include a working temperature of -20 to 65ºF; i7 Edge controller with 8G RAM and 240 solid state HD; eight PoE+ power/data ports; wi-fi/4G/Zigbee-ready communication; Amazon cloud management system compatibility; and solar/lithium battery/civil electric power.
