Topical Steroid Recalled

Teligent Pharma Inc. is voluntarily recalling 3432 tubes of flurandrenolide ointment for failing to meet impurity/degradation specifications during testing, according to the April 28, 2021, US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Enforcement Report.

The recall affects flurandrenolide ointment 0.05%, 60-gram tubes (NDC 52565-017-60), from lot 13974 (Exp. 7/21). The product was distributed throughout the United States. 

Teligent Pharma Inc. initiated the recall April 9, 2021. The FDA has not yet issued a recall classification. 

Flurandrenolide is a prescription steroid used to treat a variety of skin conditions, such as eczema, dermatitis, and allergies.
