The Invia® Liberty™ Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) system is indicated for patients who would benefit from a suction device (negative pressure wound therapy) as when used on open wounds it creates an environment that promotes wound healing by secondary or tertiary (delayed primary) intention by preparing the wound bed for closure, reducing edema, promoting granulation tissue formation and perfusion, and by removing exudate and infectious material. When used on closed surgical incisions, the Invia® Liberty™ NPWT system is also intended to manage the environment of surgical incisions that continue to drain following sutured or stapled closure by maintaining a closed environment and removing exudate via the application of negative pressure wound therapy.
The Invia® Liberty™ NPWT system is contraindicated in the presence of: necrotic tissue with eschar present, untreated osteomyelitis, non-enteric and unexplored fistulas, malignancy in the wound, exposed vasculature, exposed nerves, exposed anastomotic site of blood vessels or bypasses, or exposed organs.

Recommend storing in an available shipping case. Store devices between 15% to 93% humidity, -20°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F).
Preparation for Use:
Connect the tubing to the pump by inserting the tubing base in the pump. Connect either an 800mL or 300mL canister to the pump. Canister is secure when it clicks into place.
Operating Instructions:
Turn the device on. Default pressure setting is -120mmHg in constant therapy mode. To change pressure setting, enter administration mode and press the up/down buttons until the desired pressure setting is displayed on the screen. Press OK and Back buttons to confirm change. Pump automatically locks after one minute of no button activity.
Power Supply and Battery Management:
A fully charged battery can be expected to deliver therapy for approximately 14 hours. An acoustic signal will sound when there is approximately 30 minutes of battery life left. If the battery is fully empty, it will take approximately 4 hours to fully charge. It is recommended that the pump remain connected to an AC power source when the patient is not mobile or is resting.
Notifications and Troubleshooting:
Liberty has 6 primary acoustic and visual notifications for effective use. Each notification has image and text troubleshooting tips for easy reconciliation.
Cleaning:
Liberty is a reusable NPWT system and should be cleaned and disinfected between patient uses.
