Twenty-Nine Treated for Minor Injuries in Two New York City Bus Accidents

February 2, 2005 -- Twenty-nine people were treated for minor injuries in two separate early-morning bus accidents in Brooklyn yesterday, officials said.

Police said a school bus heading south on Quentin Road in Gravesend around 9:30 a.m. crashed into a 2004 Dodge SUV after it was cut off by another vehicle.

The bus driver lost control and hit four parked cars, said a spokesman for the Department of Education.

Twenty-four passengers, including several children with learning and emotional disabilities from P721, were treated for minor injuries at Coney Island Hospital and released by 1 p.m., the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, a school bus rammed into a city bus around 8:17 a.m. near Bay Parkway, officials said. Five passengers were treated for minor injuries.
